Pushkar Singh Dhami, the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, has fulfilled one of his promises as soon as he takes over. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Thursday that his government would implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand. He said that we had promised the people in February itself that if our government is formed again, we will bring UCC in the state. Dhami said that we will also expect other states to implement Uniform Civil Code in their own.

Uttarakhand के नए मुख्यमंत्रीPushkar Singh Dhami, ने पद संभालते ही अपना एक वादा पूरा कर दिया है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को ऐलान किया कि उनकी सरकार उत्तराखंड में Uniform Civil Code लागू करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हमने फरवरी में ही जनता से वादा किया था कि यदि दोबारा हमारी सरकार बनी तो हम राज्य में UCC लेकर आएंगे। धामी ने कहा कि हम अन्य राज्यों से भी अपेक्षा करेंगे कि वे भी अपने यहां यूनिफॉर्म सिविल कोडे लागू करें
