Voting was held in Odisha today amid tight security in 109 urban local bodies, including the municipal corporations of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Brahmapur. Voting began at 8 am in 47 municipalities, 59 notified area councils and three municipal corporations in the state, which went on till 5 pm. Tight security arrangements have been made in view of the local body elections.

ओडिशा में भुवनेश्वर, कटक और ब्रह्मपुर नगर निगमों समेत 109 शहरी स्थानीय निकायों में कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच आज वोट डाले गए. राज्य में 47 नगरपालिकाओं, 59 अधिसूचित क्षेत्र परिषदों और तीन नगर निगमों में सुबह आठ बजे मतदान शुरू हुआ, जो शाम पांच बजे तक चला. स्थानीय निकाय के चुनाव को देखते हुए सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए गए हैं.
