Residents of Balmain on the Sydney harbour foreshore have won a major victory in their fight for cleaner air after it was announced that renewable power will be made available for ships docked at the White Bay terminal by 2024. Right now ships need to keep their diesel engines running all the time to keep the power on and locals say the emissions are making them sick.
