रंग पंचमी का त्यौहार होली त्यौहार के पांचवे दिन मनाया जाता हैं, इस दिन रंग, गुलाल और पानी से होली खेलते हैं. रंगों का यह त्यौहार खासतौर पर उत्तर एवम मध्य भारत में खेला जाता हैं. यहाँ की संस्कृति में इन त्यौहारों की छवि दिखाई देती हैं. उत्तरभारत में रंगों की धूम फुलेरादुज से ही शुरू हो जाती हैं, जो कि रंगपंचमी तक चलती हैं. रंगों के इस त्यौहार को भी बुराई पर जीत के रूप में देखा जाता हैं और उत्साह से मनाया जाता हैं. यह जगह होली और रंगपंचमी अनूठे अंदाज में मनाई जाती हैं, जैसे लट्ठ मार होली. वैसे ही मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर शहर में होली से ज्यादा रंगपंचमी का महत्त्व हैं. यहाँ यह माना जाता हैं, कि होली के दिन लोग एक दुसरे से मिलते और गुलाल लगाकर बधाई देते हैं, लेकिन असल होली की धूम रंगपंचमी के दिन होती हैं, जब लोग पानी के रंगो से एक दुसरे के साथ इस त्यौहार को मनाते हैं.

Here it is believed that on the day of Holi, people meet and greet each other by applying gulal, but the real Holi is celebrated on the day of Rangpanchami, when people celebrate this festival with water colors.
