IDEAs is supporting the use of a Confidence and Supply Agreement, which is a mechanism that has recently been mooted by some -- but not one that is commonplace in Malaysia. But the think tank believes that if this arrangement is to serve the public three conditions must apply: Transparency in negotiations; Policy not patronage should define the terms, and there should be no deals on criminal charges proffered against politicians.
