Fitch Solutions has highlighted that political ties are playing a role in emerging Covid-19 vaccine deals between Malaysian and China-owned companies. This on the back of news that Kanger International, a Malaysian bamboo flooring manufacturer, recently announced a three-year licence agreement with China state-owned pharmaceutical company Sino-pharm, to sell its Covid-19 vaccine in Malaysia. Our guest said “Any bilateral agreement will always have political and economic interest in it.
