Dolly Parton Turns Down , Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nomination.
On March 14, Parton took to Twitter to say she doesn't feel she's "earned the right" to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The 76-year-old country singer said, "I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out.".
She went on to say that if she ever does become "worthy," she hopes she'll be reconsidered for nomination.
Parton also added that the nomination may encourage her to make a rock album.
