Rolling Stones - Warsaw 1967
  • 2 anni fa
In 1967, the Rolling Stones performed for the first time in Warsaw in the middle of the Cold War. In the Polish PRL times, the band wanted to play on the other side of the iron curtain, in Moscow. But the authorities didn't allow this because of the contardiction between the communism policies and the band promoting sex, drugs, rock & roll and politic. After negotiations with the only person in Poland that could manage to organize such an event (Wladyslaw Jakubosky, director of Pagart the only institution scheduling concerts and events), the band obtained the authorization to perform in Warsaw at the Congress Hall, April 13th, 1967 in the Palace of Culture and Science
