Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 10 (IST), chaired a meeting of the government to formulate a response to Western sanctions. Notably, Russia launched a military operation against Ukraine on February 24. Since then, sanctions have been imposed on Russia by the West, Japan and Australia for ordering troops into Ukraine.
