In another case, SDM has been removed in Sonbhadra. The administration admitted that the rules regarding EVMs were not followed.

UP में assembly elections के गुरुवार को आने वाले नतीजों से पहले electronic voting machines के मूवमेंट को लेकर मचा विवाद जारी है,मंगलवार को वाराणसी में Samajwadi Party workers ने जमकर हंगामा किया। साथ ही प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों पर ईवीएम चोरी का भी आरोप लगाया था। जिस पर चुनाव आयोग ने सख्ती दिखाते हुए वाराणसी के एडीएम एनके सिंह को निलंबित कर दिया है।इसी कड़ी में बरेली में मतगणना स्थल पर कूड़े की गाड़ी में पोस्टल वैलेट मिलने पर सपा कार्यकर्ताओं के हंगामे के बाद ज़िला प्रशासन ने आरओ-एसडीएम बहेड़ी पारुल तरार को हटा दिया है. एक अन्‍य मामले में सोनभद्र में एसडीएम को हटाया गया है. प्रशासन ने माना कि ईवीएम को लेकर नियमों का पालन नही किया गया.
