The Duchess of Cornwall joined other members of the Royal Family in showing her support for the people of Ukraine yesterday when she invited the wife of the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK to speak at Clarence House. The event was a part of a reception for International Women's Day, in which Camilla serves as President of the Women of the World (WOW) Festival. The Duchess is said to usually share a platform at the event alongside WOW founder Jude Kelly. Camilla spoke candidly this year about the plight of gender equality and events in Kyiv. Speaking about Ukraine, the Duchess said: "The heart-breaking conditions in Ukraine, where democracy and freedom are under brutal attack." The ambassador ...
