Prince Andrew pays huge settlement to Virginia Giuffre – thought to be '£10-£12million'

A joint order filed with the New York court called for the action against the Duke of York to be dismissed after an out of court settlement with Ms Giuffre was agreed on last month. It states each side will cover its own costs and fees and, once US judge Lewis A Kaplan signs it, brings to an end the seven-month legal action initiated by Ms Giuffre, formerly known as Ms Roberts, after she accused Andrew of committing "sexual assault and battery" upon her when she was 17 years old. Although the parties have settled the case, the agreement is not an admission of guilt from the Duke and he has always strenuously denied the allegations against him. Ms Giuffre said she was coerced into sexual enc ...
