Some of the best early 70s Greek psychedelic tracks ever recorded with great fuzz guitars, hammond organ and hunting vocals.
Sotiris Komatsioulis (Greek Σωτήρης Κοματσιούλης) is a singer and musician born in Kozani, Greece. He began his music history in the 1960s with small local groups, releasing his first and only compact in 1971 as solo. Almost 40 years later, a record was released in 2010 with 9 other tracks, plus the single, 6 of which were recorded between 1972 and 73 in their local land and 3 in England, where Komatsioulis moved in late 1973. After a few years he gave up his career as a professional musician and opened a club in the region.
The compilation San Ton Anemo (in Greek Σαν τον άνεμο, translating "Like the Wind"), released on vinyl by B-otherSide had only 500 copies. It consists of 11 short short songs of psychedelic simple but very pleasant rock, with a strong presence of fuzz guitar, electric organ, drums and garage footprint most of the time (as we see in the cover itself). The letters are in Greek, except for the last three in English, without major prominence.

Sotiris Komatsioulis is one of the best kept secrets of the early 70s Greek psychedelic era. He made an ultra rare single in 1971, enjoyed some media exposure at the time and came close to a successful career. In 1973 I moved to England, where I've been living until recently. This compilation contains the 2 tracks of his impossible to find single (b1, b2), and presents, for the first time ever, 6 unreleased tracks (side a) recorded in 1972-73, when he was trying to secure a contract with Columbia records in Greece and 3 tracks with English lyrics, that have been recorded in the UK in 1974 (b3-b5).
