New York sees record high temperature for time of year

New Yorkers were braving snow only last week, but Wednesday saw a record high temperature for the time of year as the mercury pushed 25 Celsius (77 Fahrenheit). The previous record for March 9 was just 21 C (69 F), set in 2000.
