Russian forces have taken control of Kherson in Ukraine, reported AFP. Kherson is the first major urban centre to fall since Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24. Another key Ukrainian port, Berdyansk, has already been seized by Russian troops. As per an AFP report, the Russian forces have also surrounded Mariupol. Heavy shelling is taking place in Kharkiv. Several residential and government buildings have been hit by Russian missiles.
