Ukrainian officials have confirmed Russia's capture of the southern city of Kherson on day 8 of the invasion.After capturing Kherson, Russian warships are now heading towards Ukraine's Odessa. The United States has also warned that an attack on Odessa is imminent. As the Russia-Ukraine war entered its eighth day on Thursday, the Ukraine’s State Emergency Service has claimed that more than 2,000 civilians have died since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
