Russia’s attack on Ukraine has made it more difficult for India to navigate between the U.S. and Russia. According to former Indian Ambassador to the U.S. and Germany, Meera Shankar, India's partnership with the U.S. is important, considering the threats the country faces from China and Pakistan.
On the other hand, India is heavily reliant on Russian arms, as 60% of its defence equipment is of Russian origin.
For now, India has taken a neutral stance and called for peace among the two worrying nations
