Storm Eunice wave data taken from the Pevensey wave buoy
  • 2 years ago
Eunice saw significantly large waves, with some waves as high as 22 feet in the sea off Hastings. Over the weekend waves eased slightly, though we continued to see some waves as high as 15 feet, and waves continue to be as high as 11 feet today.

(all of this data is from the Pevensey wave buoy which is off the coast of Bexhill, the Rye Bay wave buoy which is located off of Fairlight recorded even bigger waves but stopped transmitting data during the storm’s peak, presumably because the instruments were overwhelmed)
