India Sends 2500 Tonnes Of Wheat To Afghanistan, Trucks Depart From Amritsar

On February 22, India sent 2500 metric tonnes of wheat in 50 trucks to Afghanistan. People of Afghanistan are dealing with acute food and medicines shortages. India is providing unconditional support to Afghanistan. On February 22, India dispatched the first convoy of 2500 MT of wheat assistance from ICP Attari to Jalalabad, Afghanistan. As per an ANI report, the government signed an agreement with the WFP for the distribution of 50,000 MT of wheat to Afghanistan.
