Thousands of Sydney commuters left stranded after train network shutdown
  • 2 years ago
Tens of thousands of commuters were left stranded yesterday with not a single train running in Sydney as negotiations between the state government and union officials hit an all time low. The rail, tram and bus union says they are not on strike and staff came to work today ready to operate trains. Industrial action was planned but transport for NSW decided to shut down the network at 2AM claiming it would be unsafe to operate.
