Karnataka minister Eshwarappa has stoked a controversy by alleging that Muslim goons were involved in the murder of a 23-year-old man in Shivamogga district on Sunday night. He accused Congress leader DK Shivakumar of “provocating the Muslim goons." Meanwhile, PM Modi hit out at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday, saying that the CM candidate is "insecure" about his seat and had to plead to his father, whom he had "humiliated" to capture the party, to save him from defeat in the constituency. Hitting back at PM Modi, the SP chief said that the BJP shouldn't get jittery if a father campaigns for his son.
