Docs Said I Wouldn't Reach 5 - Now I'm 30 | BORN DIFFERENT

DOCTORS thought Jeremiah would not live to the age of five, but now at 30 years old, he has continuously defied their prognosis. Jeremiah, from San Diego, was born with an extremely rare skin condition called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa - also referred to as EB or ‘butterfly skin’. The condition means his skin is extremely fragile and friction or pressure can cause it to blister or tear. He lost the ability to walk and the full function of his hands due to the condition. In 2018 Jeremiah was diagnosed with skin cancer but this brought on an ‘epiphany’ that he needed to start living life. He started sharing his story online and has now started a video and audio production course. Jeremiah told Truly: “It does feel good to be able to reach the milestones and the limitations the doctors put on me. It makes me feel unstoppable.”
