A dark forest is full of all sorts of evil spirits, devils, kikimors, and other nastiness. After getting lost, a boy and a girl find themselves there. The Evil One immediately smelled human flesh, but Baba Yaga let them live so that the children could work for her. They had to work hard: feeding insatiable piglets, chopping wood, and rocking the little devil, Bumpy. It went on like that for a long time with music and creepy songs among the dirt and dust. But one day, all the evil spirits rushed to dig out the treasure, and the children ran away, taking the little devil with them because they felt sorry for the little one. They brought him to the people, and people's kindness made a human out of Bumpy.
