Queen alone cannot strip Duke of York title off Prince Andrew 'Needs Parliament to do it!'

Royal expert Emily Andrews has argued that Prince Andrew cannot be stripped of his Duke of York title by the Queen. Ms Andrew believes that the Dukedom can only be removed by Parliament. Calls for the removal of the title were reignited after the Duke of York's legal team confirmed he agreed to a settlement with his accuser, Virginia Giuffre. Ms Andrew told Jeremy Vine: "As I understand it, it does have to be an act of parliament that revokes his title. It's an ancient Dukedom.
