Several kiosks have been razed down by a fire in downtown Kisii causing losses to dozens of traders. A gas explosion at an eatery is suspected to had caused the inferno. The fire broke out at 1:30 PM and spread quickly across other eateries and a Jua Kali artisan market. The fire engine from the County took long to arrive at the scene as the wananchi and traders put up a spirited fight to tame the blaze.
