A shy stray dog spent Valentine's Day alone after nobody showed up to a meet-and-greet thrown in the hope of finding him new owners.Stray mongrel Luke, thought to be around five years old, was rescued by the Kent branch of Battersea Cats and Dogs rescue more than six months ago.To mark the occasion, staff threw the five-year-old a special Valentine’s Day date in the hope that someone will come forward to find out more about the loveable rescue dog.However, Luke, who found himself at Battersea as a stray, was left to celebrate the most romantic day of the year alone after nobody came to meet him.
