President Rodrigo Roa Duterte convenes with several Cabinet members and top government officials to discuss the most recent developments on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation in the country, as well as various issues of national concern, during his Talk to the People this week.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) reports that the National Epidemic Curves continue to flatten as a result of continual drop in the number of cases throughout the country. On vaccination efforts against the virus, particularly on the rollout of reformulated doses of vaccines dedicated for ‘Resbakuna Kids’, data also show that around 100,000 children aged 5-11 from 482 vaccination sites nationwide have already been inoculated with their first dose.

On the market of counterfeit medicines, the Chief Executive discusses with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the possible apprehension and sanction of individuals and business establishments that sell fake drugs, through coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), local government units (LGUs), and social media platforms such as Facebook with its Consumer Policy Channel.
Moreover, he urged those who have not received their COVID-19 vaccines to consider getting the jabs against the virus. He also reminds the public to continue practicing minimum health standards as additional protection.
