Uttar Pradesh assembly elections में Gorakhpur district की विधानसभा सीटों से अब तक जितने भी उम्मीदवारों ने पर्चा दाखिल किया है, उनमें से सपाSP के Chillupar candidate Vinay Shankar Tiwari सबसे अमीर हैं, विनय शंकर तिवारी, Purvanchal की सियासत में ब्राह्मण चेहरा माने जाने वाले कद्दावर नेता हरिशंकर तिवारी के बेटे है। विनय शंकर तिवारी ने शुक्रवार 10 फरवरी को चिल्लूपार विधानसभा सीट से नामाकंन पत्र दाखिल कर दिया है। चुनाव आयोग को विनय शंकर तिवारी जो शपथ पत्र दिया है उसके मुताबिक, उनके व उनकी पत्नी के पास करीब 67.51 करोड़ रुपये की चल-अचल संपत्ति है।
