Missing Dalit girl's body found near ex-minister's UP ashram; SC denies urgent hearing on Hijab showdown; more

Two months after a 22-year-old Dalit woman in Unnao had gone missing, police recovered her decomposed body near an ashram owned by a former state minister's son. Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Friday lashed out at the Samajwadi Party over the death of the woman. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to urgently hear petitions challenging the Karnataka High Court’s order concerning the hijab row that has erupted in the state. “Don't spread these things to a larger level Let us see what is the appropriate time for us to interfere,” the Chief Justice of India-led bench said.
