My Take: Country needs better education, jobs, not a bruising political battle over dress and religion

The video from a Karnataka college of a young woman in a burkha being chased and harassed by boys screeching Jai Shri ram at her is deeply distressing and shameful. It reflects just how deep religious polarisation fed by a cycle of prejudice and hate threatens normal civil behaviour even on a campus.
