Karnataka Hijab Controversy Escalates, CM Bommai Suspends Classes

The hijab controversy which originated in Udupi spread to the rest of Karnataka on Tuesday.

The day began with MGM college, Udupi, barring students wearing hijabs and saffron stoles from entering the college.

By evening, section 144 was imposed in Shivamogga city following stone pelting and some students trying to tie a saffron stole to a flag pole.
