Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold his first physical election rally in Uttar Pradesh on Monday as the EC relaxed Covid-19 restrictions. PM Modi’s “Jan Chaupal” rally in Bijnor will be a hybrid rally with a physical presence of 1,000 people in audience and the rest will join virtually through live telecast.

Meanwhile, automobile maker Hyundai landed in hot water in India after the company's dealer in Pakistan shared solidarity messages on social media over Kashmir. On February 5, Hyundai Pakistan's social media handles shared posts in solidarity with the "Kashmiri brothers" in their "struggle for freedom". The social media posts were later removed.
