Firefighters are continuing to battle a number of bushfires in Western Australia. Emergency warnings are in place in the shire of Bridgetown in the south west and the shires of Quairading, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Kondinin, and Kulin, in the Wheatbelt. Des Hickey is the Shire President of Corrigin and says that the fire tore through 80 per cent of his farm.
