He noted that there is "only ONE first lady" - the Queen. This comes as Mrs Johnson has been facing increasing heat over her role in Number 10, as there has been speculation that she plays a big role behind the scenes in the Downing Street machine. But writing on Twitter Mr Arbiter said: "Question? Would someone please enlighten me as to why journalists keep referring to the PM's wife, Carrie Johnson, as 'First Lady'? "There is only ONE first lady and that is The Queen, who today is marking her Platinum Jubilee - 70 years as Head of state - quietly at Sandringham."
