Lata Mangeshkar was born on 28 September 1929 in the Sikh locality of Indore. The Chalnuma house in which she was born was known as Wagh Saheb ke Bada at that time. She lived in this house in Indore till the age of seven. After this his family moved to Maharashtra.

28 सितंबर, 1929 को इंदौर के सिख मोहल्ले में लता मंगेशकर का जन्म हुआ था। जिस चालनुमा घर में वे पैदा हुई थीं, वह उस समय वाघ साहब के बाड़े के रूप में जाना जाता था। सात साल की उम्र तक वे इंदौर में इसी घर में रहीं। इसके बाद उनका परिवार महाराष्ट्र चला गया।
