यूपी की सियासत में हाथरस सीट को काफी अहम माना जाता.यहां तीसरे फेज में 20 फरवरी को वोटिंग होगी.इस बार यहां बीजेपी की अंजुला माहोर, सपा के बृज मोहन, बीएसपी के संजीव कुमार काका, कांग्रेस के कुलदीप कुमार सिंह के बीच मुकाबला है.इस सीट को बहुजन समाज पार्टी के गढ़ के रूप में जाना जाता है.वर्तमान में यह सीट बीजेपी के कब्जे में है.इस सीट पर साल 1996, 2002, 2007 और 2012 के विधानसभा चुनाव में बहुजन समाज पार्टी के प्रत्याशी जीतते रहे हैं.लेकिन 2017 के चुनाव में बसपा को इस सीट से हाथ धोना पड़ा था और यह सीट बीजेपी के पास चली गई थी.
