The SP president questioned who to blame for this incident, what was the reason behind it. Attacking the BJP, Akhilesh Yadav, who reached Agra, said that the BJP was claiming that the criminals had fled from the state. He said that if the criminals have fled then who did this attack.

समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने 4 फरवरी को असदुद्दीन ओवैसी पर हुए हमले की निंदा की है. उन्होंने कहा कि लोकतंत्र में हिंसा नहीं होनी चाहिए. सपा अध्यक्ष ने सवाल किया कि इस घटना के लिए किसे दोष दिया जाए, आखिर इसके पीछे क्या कारण था. आगरा पहुंचे अखिलेश यादव ने बीजेपी पर हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि बीजेपी तो दावा कर रही थी कि राज्य से अपराधी भाग गए हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि अगर अपराधी भाग गए हैं तो ये हमला किसने किया.
