Addressing a press congress on February 1, Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) mocked PM Modi and said, “When the election was in Bengal he grew a beard like Tagore, goes to Tamil Nadu, drapes Lungi, Punjab election-wear Pagadi, Manipur Uttarakhand using a local cap for election. What is this?’’ The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reacted sharply to KCR’s remark and ‘strongly condemned’ the ‘abusive’ language used against the Prime Minister and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The Telangana CM has also slammed Budget 2022, saying it had ‘no direction’, a ‘golmaal’ budget and gave it a ‘big zero’.
