CNN reports Whoopi Goldberg
has sparked outrage with a barrage
of misinformed comments.
Goldberg, a beloved actor and moderator on the daytime television show "The View," .
repeatedly asserted on Jan. 31,
"the Holocaust isn't about race.".
During a discussion focusing on a
Tennessee school district's decision
to ban the novel "Maus," an exposé
on the atrocities of the Holocaust.
The McMinn County, Tennesee, Board of Education has removed the novel from their curriculum, citing "rough objectionable language" and an image of a nude woman.
Goldberg was shocked that nudity
in "Maus" would concern the school
board and not the Holocaust itself.
Co-host Joy Behar chimed in the concerns
of nudity are likely to be "a canard to throw you off from the fact that they don't like history that makes White people look bad.".
