High winds and dangerous conditions of Storm Corrie are causing chaos in Scotland after the devastating effects of Storm Malik.

After moving across the North Sea, the storm continues to batter Scottish coastlines with gusts up to 80mph.

David Foley, a resident of the Isle of Islay, the southernmost island of the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, captured the chaotic conditions in Bowmore on Sunday (30/01).

He said: “Just a light breeze picking up! I had to hold my phone with two hands and was struggling to stand on the wall.

“That being said, there is something very tranquil about looking at those waves on this beautiful island.

“Islay is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places on the planet, regardless of the weather!”

The Met Office issued a Yellow Weather Warning across the North Sea coastal parts of England, which was valid until 10am today (31/01).

Thousands have been left without power after the successive storms this past weekend.
