India records over 3.33 lakh Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, states impose curbs

India recorded 3,33,533 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 4171 (1.2 per cent) less than yesterday, according to the data by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Sunday. With this, the total caseload stands at 3,92,37,264.

The top five states which registered maximum cases are Maharashtra with 46,393 cases, followed by Kerala with 45,136 cases, Karnataka with 42,470 cases, Tamil Nadu with 30,744 cases and Gujarat with 23,150 cases.

Keeping in view the Covid-19 situation, several states including Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have imposed restrictions to mitigate the Covid-19 spread.
