Utpal Parrikar, son of Defense Minister and BJP late Manohar Parrikar, has adopted a rebellious attitude before being denied ticket from the BJP from Panaji seat in the Goa Assembly elections. He has announced to contest as an independent from Panaji. Due to which the troubles of BJP have increased. However, Utpal Parrikar has put a condition before the BJP to withdraw his candidature. He said that if BJP gives ticket to honest person, then I will not contest elections.

गोवा विधानसभा चुनाव (Goa Assembly Election 2022) में पणजी सीट (Panji Seat) से बीजेपी (BJP) से टिकट नहीं मिलने से पूर्व रक्षामंत्री और बीजेपी स्वर्गीय मनोहर पर्रिकर (Manohar Parrikar) के बेटे उत्पल पर्रिकर (Utpal Parrikar) ने बागी तेवर अपना लिए हैं. उन्होंने पणजी से निर्दलीय चुनाव लड़ने का ऐलान किया है. जिससे बीजेपी की मुश्किलें बढ़ गई हैं. हालांकि उत्पल पर्रिकर ने अपनी उम्मीदवारी वापस लेने के लिए बीजेपी के सामने एक शर्त रख दी है. उन्होंने कहा कि अगर बीजेपी ईमानदार व्यक्ति को टिकट देती है, तो मैं चुनाव नहीं लड़ूगा.
