Even as Delhi and Mumbai report a dip in Covid-19 cases, the coronavirus is tightening its grip on south India. Daily infections are breaching the 45,000-mark in Kerala and Karnataka. While Kerala has tightened curbs, Karnataka is easing them. The Basavaraj Bommai government has decided to lift the weekend curfew in Karnataka following “demand from people, various organisations and political leaders”.
