Parts of the nation expected to reach Omicron peak in coming days

Several states and the federal government are expressing confidence that the peak in the Omicron wave is imminent. NSW modelling projects hospitalisation to peak by the end of the month and Victoria and Queensland are hopeful their peaks are also approaching.
