With only a few weeks ahead of Assembly Election in Goa, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on January 17 asked ticket for former Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar from Panaji. “Manohar Parrikar contributed to Goa's development, but his family faced disrespect after his demise. Utpal Parrikar, his son, must be given a ticket from Panaji. Every political party contesting polls must support him and bring him to power,” said the Shiv Sena leader. Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have decided to contest the upcoming Goa Assembly Elections together.
