India on Sunday recorded 2,58,089 new Covid cases, the Union Health Ministry said. As many as 8,209 Omicron cases have been detected so far, an increase of 6.02 percent since the previous day. The number of Covid casualties for the 24 hours was recorded at 385. The positivity rate now stands at 19.65 percent, which is around 3 percent more than the previous day.
