Arrest warrant issued against ex-UP minister Swami Prasad Maurya for 2014 hate speech

A day after UP Minister Swami Prasad Maurya quit the BJP, an arrest warrant was issued against him in a seven-year-old case. The arrest warrant is related to a 2014 case in which Maurya allegedly made objectionable remarks about deities. The matter will be heard on January 24 by a special MP-MLA court.
