'Setting off fireworks on New Year's Eve/Day is an activity that has been going on for several decades now.
Despite that, some people still manage to make rookie mistakes and face the wrath of the sparkling explosives. An example of the same is highlighted in this clip.
Filmed by Katrina Shemyakin, this video captures the moment a minor but evident firework incident almost put an early stop to the filmer's New Year's celebration.
"So, this explosive we got shoots three fireworks," Katrina wrote. "The first two shot up into the sky perfectly fine but the third one didn't launch as per our expectations. Luckily, nothing serious happened."
