Watch: Election in five states in 7 phases, results on March 10, says EC

The Election Commission (EC) has declared the schedule for the upcoming assembly elections in five states today. Assembly elections are going to be held in the states of Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
In view of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases, the EC held several meetings with the Union health secretary and members of the Covid task force. The EC has stressed on speeding up the vaccination programme in the poll-bound states.
