Snow cleared from major roads, Srinagar-Jammu highway to remain shut: Check status of roads here

Snow was cleared from major roads in Jammu and Kashmir. Traffic police authorities said that tommorrow vehicular movement on Jammu-Srinagar highway will remain suspended as the heavy rains and snowfall has triggered large scale shooting stones activity, landslides and slippery road conditions on the road.The highway is blocked at many places. It asked that
people are advised/requested not to undertake any journey on Jammu-Srinagar highway till the restoration work is completed and surface is traffic worthy.

MUGHAL ROAD:

Mughal Road remained closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation at Peer Ki Gali by the order of Deputy Commissioner Shopian.

SSG ROAD:

The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri Road also closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation on Zojila axis by the order of Ladakh administration.

KISHTWAR-SINTHAN ROAD:

No traffic movement shall be allowed on Kishtwar-Sinthan Road in view of snow accumulation.

ADVISORY:

People have been advised to undertake journey on Srinagar-Jammu higjway only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
